http://bobferrarostudios.net/portfolio/untitled-3 Welcome to the main section of The Local Law Library.
This is a fairly new site and does not have all 50 states cataloged yet. Instead of sprinkling a handful of entries from all 50 states to populate each state, we chose to build each state to be the most comprehensive collection of entries and then publish the information we found for that state. Therefore, it can be a a little time in between publishing a new state, so keep checking back if you don’t see the state your municipal code book would be found in.
Each catalog entry is designed to:
1. Direct-connect you straight to the document(s), whether they are hosted by an external codifier or published internally on a government website. Some municipalities post only a small group of ordinances, which we note in the catalog entry. Just click the “View Code” button on the page.
2. Provide you with a direct-connect to the government unit’s website whenever available. When available, our linking strategy is to first try to connect with the ordinance section of a site if it contains additional ordinance-related materials. If it is empty or not present, we will try to link to the municipal court section of a site. If neither option is available, we link to the home page of the government unit’s website. Just click the “Municipal Site” button on the page.
To search by state, select a state from the list below and then search our alphabetical listing of government units in our catalog. We have in our template a list of states that can be found in the top right corner if you’re using a tablet or desktop or after each entry if you are on a cell phone.
The search box can be found in the top right corner if you’re using a tablet or desktop or after each entry if you are on a cell phone.
